My Love is Your Covering

 

I saw someone pulling his feathers/wing over them as they laid down to rest as if you would a blanket. This is the verse that came to my mind. 

“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” Psalm 91:4

I hear Him say: (2.1.23)

“This is the way to enter my rest. Remember my covering of protection and comfort. Remember my heart towards you is one of compassion and gentleness. When you are able to rest in my presence you receive my love for you as your covering. All striving ceases in my tender loving care. It’s as if your mother is there to tuck you in safe and cozy under a big fluffy comforter. You may want to get up and work but you are woo’ed to bed and you follow my leading. That’s why it says I make you lie down in green pastures, I lead you beside waters of rest. Psalms‬ ‭23‬:‭2‬ ‭

When you are free to pursue rest it makes your soul start to sing and come alive again. I revive your soul. (psalm 23:4) Weariness washes away in my rest. You become vibrant, bright, and childlike again without a worry in the world. Everything goes from grayscale to color. 

I’m waking you up to your destiny In Me. That’s how I intended you to live this life- free from striving. Free to be childlike- guileless, and filled to overflowing with faith, hope, and love. (1 Cor. 13:13) That’s why I said, ‘Don’t be afraid little flock. It is your father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.’ (Luke 12:32) 

So, I invite you to come away with me and rest. Pull my wings over you as a blanket. I will cover you with my feathers and under my wings you will find refuge. My massive arms are wrapped around you protecting you. You can come under my covering of majesty and hide. My arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from all harm. (Psalm 91:4 tpt) Come home and let me keep you today. Find the pleasure and peace of being kept by me." (Jude 1:1, Psalm 16:11)
