Step-by-Step

 

“He turned the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs;”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭107‬:‭35‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Decree that the water of my Spirit is coming on the thirsty! My Spirit will flow in the most unlikely of places and hearts. Where there has been drought and hardness of heart, I’m coming with my healing rains to soften and tenderize. My rains will remove the rocks of offense and unbelief. My rains will bring recompense to the oppressed and downtrodden. I’m in the business of restoration. You can expect me to turn things around. The impossible is possible with me. (Jeremiah 32:17, Matthew 19:26, Mark 10:27) It doesn’t matter how long the drought has gone on, for some their whole lives. My Spirit will pour out fresh on all. 

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit.” (Joel 2:28 and Acts 2:17)

It’s ok to walk fully in my Spirit. I’ve given it to you as a precious gift. Do not be ashamed of this gift. I’ve made you to stand out! He’s your guide. He’s your helper, your peace, your power. I desire you to constantly stay in tune with Him/Me. It’s going to look different than the mold of society around you and some in the church- those under the weighted cloak of religion and legalism. It’s because I’m making you a forerunner. Your life will show them what it looks like to let me lead and not their intellect. It’s a call to walk in humility and perfect obedience through the power of my Spirit. ‘Not by power, nor by might, but by my Spirit.’ (Zechariah 4:6) It’s a call to shed all concern for appearances, image, and performance and go so much deeper in intimacy and authenticity with me. (Philippians 3:7-8) I’m here to lead you by a way you have not known. (Isaiah 42:16) It’s an invitation to daily, moment-by-moment, surrender to my will, my ways. Step-by-step I lead you. Truly, truly you will come to know me as “Shepherd” in the realest sense, more than you ever have before. ‘And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.’ (Isaiah 30:21) 

I’m calling for deeper surrender. That’s it. It’s so simple really. Give me your heart, your worries, your future, your desires, your day, your family, your nation, your old self, your new self. Let me mold you and shape you like clay.(Isaiah 64:8) Come and lay here on the altar and watch my fire come on your offering:  I’m filling you in this place of surrender with my Spirit, my passion, my purity, and my purposes for your life. Come out of the fire with eyes blazing like fire, looking just like me. (Revelation 19:12) Just as the still pools of water carry a reflection, so your heart will reflect my image. 

 “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18
