I Love You Just The Way You Are
I hear the Lord say: (2.10.23)
I want you to come in closer. Closer than you’ve ever experienced me before. I long for intimacy with you in thought and deed. It brings me great joy to commune with you throughout your day. Don’t think I’m not here. I’m always here. I like your silly questions and heartfelt pleas. I’m here to shower you with love and grace. I’m not here to judge or condemn. I didn’t come to condemn, but to save.
Thanks for being you. I love the way you talk. I love the way you laugh. I love the way you sing and dance. I love the way you think about things. I love that way you worship. You move my heart. I’m undone by your affection. You don’t have to be some superstar to get my attention. You already have it. It’s quite simple really. Just believe I am your friend that is closer than a brother. Share the depths of your heart with me. Don’t fear going to the realest places in your emotions with me. To go to those places with me is to access my healing in those places. If you keep them bottled up I cannot touch and heal the wounds of the past. My desire is for you to move into the light of day free from the heaviness that was your constant companion. Freedom from pain and trauma is available to you. It poured out of my side on the cross. The blood and the water is for your healing. Come stand in the flow. Trust and believe I can touch even the most devastated places and bring wholeness and well-being. I turn graves into gardens. It’s time to take off the victim mindset you’ve worn for quite some time. Put on my overcomer varsity jacket. Wrap yourself in me, in my strength. Your past was not meant to define who you are today or limit your potential for tomorrow. Your past is all redeemable. There is no shadow I can’t light up coming after you! There is no darkness that can hide you from me. I come and shine my light and pull you out of the pit. (Zechariah 9:11-12, Psalm 139:11)
Let me be your solution. Come and touch my tassels in faith, just as the woman with the bleeding disorder did. I am your healer. Let go of every other answer and grab ahold of me. “The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and are safe.” (Proverbs 18:10)
