Bring Me Whole-Hearted Surrender
I hear him say: (2.23.23)
“I wish to reveal to you great and unsearchable things you do not know. (Jeremiah 33:3) It’s time to go deeper, my dear. Deeper into my heart, my ways, my thoughts. (Proverbs 25:2) Don’t allow distraction to hold you back anymore. Be ruthless in carving out time and distance yourself from needless demands on you. It’s time to come up higher. It’s time to forsake all other lovers that have taken up residence in your heart. (Luke 14:33) I call you “my set apart one.” You’re called to come out from among them. As you do this, you will find everlasting pleasure. You will find fullness of joy. (Psalm 16:11)
Don’t let doubts hold you back. Simply come to me.
“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.
Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare.
Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.” (Isaiah 55:1-3)
My yoke is easy. My burden is light. You will find rest for your soul. (Matthew 11:28)
This life is not a game to win. You don’t need some strategy for performance. You need me. You need a constant awareness of my nearness. You need relationship with me. You need my strong hand to guide you and lift you up. It’s so simple a child can do it. It’s coming and laying down everything at my feet in complete surrender. Humble yourself under my might hand so that in due time I will exalt you. (1 Peter 5:6)
It’s time for you to ask me what specifically you need to lay down. If you choose not to, your hands may not be open to receive what I desire to give you. It’s as simple as that. It’s the same as if you were given the opportunity of a lifetime but your schedule was too full to accept the offer. I illustrated this in my parable of the wedding feast. It’s of utmost importance you make room for me in your life. Maybe you have at some level, but here I am knocking at the door to your heart again, asking for more.
“Fasten me upon your heart as a seal of fire forevermore. This living, consuming flame will seal you as my prisoner of love. My passion is stronger than the chains of death and the grave, all consuming as the very flashes of fire from the burning heart of God. Place this fierce, unrelenting fire over your entire being. Rivers of pain and persecution will never extinguish this flame. Endless floods will be unable to quench this raging fire that burns within you. Everything will be consumed. It will stop at nothing as you yield everything to this furious fire until it won’t even seem to you like a sacrifice anymore.” (Song of Songs 8:6-7 TPT)
I want whole-hearted surrender. I want you to eat, sleep, breathe with one thing on your mind- My kingdom. It’s not too much to ask. It’s the best option. It’s the greatest calling. It’s the great commission. Your conversion to the kingdom of my beloved son was not supposed to look like you living your old life with a little Jesus mixed in. That’s compromise. That’s an unclean mixture. Your baptism was a baptism into the death of your old life and into the new creation life I have for you. It’s a complete separation from the old. You need me to guide you in this new life. Walk with me, watch me, let me show you how to do it. Paul said it best when he said, “May my only boast be found in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. In him I have been crucified to this natural realm; and the natural realm is dead to me and no longer dominates my life.” (Galatians 6:14 TPT)
This is your mandate. I want you to eat, sleep, breathe this revelation. Ask me what it means to be all about the cross. The martyrs and heroes of the faith understood this reality.
This world has no hold on you any longer. You’re called to live 100% for me now, not 80/20, not even 90/10. I want you ALL IN. Separate yourself. Cleanse yourself. Consecrate yourself. For tomorrow, I will do wonders (miracles) among you. (Joshua 3:5)
Come find shelter under my wings. It’s time for shaking to increase. When you’re in me you will not be shaken. (Hebrews 12:26-27, Psalm 62:2)
