What Are You Craving?
I woke up from a dream of seeing a butterfly up close landing on a flower.
I hear Him say, (1.6.23)
“Come to me and die so that you may truly live.”
What does that have to do with butterflies and gardens?
“In order for butterflies to be butterflies, they must come and die of their old nature. Today is the sixth day, (as Jesus hung on the cross at the sixth hour the sky went dark until the ninth hour..) (Mark 15:33)
Go into your chrysalis and allow this dying of the old to take place. It’s time to rise up and be filled with my resurrection life. Let go of the old, so I can replace it with the new I have for you.
You cannot eat the same diet of this world any longer. Your natural tastebuds crave what you feast on. If you feast on junk food, you will have a veracious appetite for junk food. If you feast on healthful foods your body will desire more of those same things. Your spiritual tastebuds crave what you feast on also. It’s the same for feeding on things that satisfy fleshly sinful nature vs. feasting on things that satisfy the spirit.
“For no matter how hard they try, God finds no pleasure with those who are controlled by the flesh. But when the Spirit of Christ empowers your life, you are not dominated by the flesh but by the Spirit. And if you are not joined to the Spirit of the Anointed One, you are not of him. Now Christ lives his life in you! And even though your body may be dead because of the effects of sin, his life-giving Spirit imparts life to you because you are fully accepted by God. Yes, God raised Jesus to life! And since God’s Spirit of Resurrection lives in you, he will also raise your dying body to life by the same Spirit that breathes life into you! So then, beloved ones, the flesh has no claims on us at all, and we have no further obligation to live in obedience to it. For when you live controlled by the flesh, you are about to die. But if the life of the Spirit puts to death the corrupt ways of the flesh, we then taste his abundant life.” (Romans 8:8-13 TPT)
It’s time to awaken to the fullness of your destiny as dead to sin and alive to please me. (Romans 6:11) Peel off all the outward adornments of the flesh. Peel off all the need to be seen by others. Peel off all performance and perfectionism. Peel off all selfish ambition and every form of envy and strife. (James 3:14-16) It is uncomfortable. It feels like dying. It’s a dividing between soul and spirit. (Hebrews 4:12)
“Your crucifixion with Christ has severed the tie to this life, and now your true life is hidden away in God in Christ. And as Christ himself is seen for who he really is, who you really are will also be revealed, for you are now one with him in his glory!” (Colossians 3:3-4 TPT)
Determine to be hidden with me. Put aside pride and worship of self just as I did when I humbled myself even unto death. “Be free from pride-filled opinions, for they will only harm your cherished unity. Don’t allow self-promotion to hide in your hearts, but in authentic humility put others first and view others as more important than yourselves. Abandon every display of selfishness. Possess a greater concern for what matters to others instead of your own interests. And consider the example that Jesus, the Anointed One, has set before us. Let his mindset become your motivation. He existed in the form of God, yet he gave no thought to seizing equality with God as his supreme prize. Instead he emptied himself of his outward glory by reducing himself to the form of a lowly servant. He became human! He humbled himself and became vulnerable, choosing to be revealed as a man and was obedient. He was a perfect example, even in his death—a criminal’s death by crucifixion!” (Philippians 2:3-8 TPT)
I don’t want you to have any type of audience or platform until every part of you that desires attention from this world has died. Nothing else matters but seeking my face and beholding my glory. Let it be about journeying into my heart not mastering life. Your focus should not be on success in this world but on me as your shepherd. See yourself as my little sheep, follow my lead. (Psalm 23) (Matthew 10)
