Rhythms of Grace, Strong, Regular, Repeated Pattern
I hear Him say: (1.17.23)
You’ve turned a corner, dear one. You’re not where you once were at the bottom of the mountain, circling it. You’ve ascended and it will only get easier from here. I’m with you every step of the way, keep asking for help. Keep asking for guidance. I want to help you! I want to show you where to turn each and every time. It’s easy when you’re following the shepherd. I invite you this morning to take off that burden and let me carry it. My yoke is easy, my burden is light. Stop striving and simply rest in our friendship. Rest in the finished work of the cross. You don’t have to prove yourself to me or anyone else. I know you care for me. That’s what matters. Everything else flows from our love. It’s not about performance, it’s about partnership. Let’s just be together. Walk with me “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”(Matthew 11:28-30 MSG)
You’ve entered a new dimension of peace. You are like Noah in the ark, safe and dry in the midst of the storm. My rest is your home now. It’s your choice to dwell here or go back to where you’ve been. The world will tell you in order to succeed you must be better and do more. I say just come. Come to me again and again. Come, let me take your burdens. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. Sit at my feet, like Mary, and embrace the place of humility and separation from the world. Come, be my student, a student of rest. Rest in my love through faith. “Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life.” (Ephesians 3:17 TPT)
Stay in the womb of my compassion. Let me nourish you, and carry your heart. It’s in safe hands. I am your father, you are my child. It’s ok to let me take care of you. It’s actually what I want most to do. I don’t want you to try to heal the world. I want you to let me love you to wholeness. Let’s put first things first. Make your ministry be for me and me only. Let everything else fall by the wayside. I’ll show you what you need to pick back up in time. Now I’m recalibrating you back to true north where your life is actually mine. I’m all yours and you’re all mine. That’s the partnership I long to have with you. Complete surrender. Covenant oneness. Constant Nearness.
Don’t burst blood vessels in prayer. Come close and let me love you. Let everything from my kingdom flow into your surroundings as a byproduct of our intimacy. It’s time to surrender control and simply come like a child.
