Partnership Over Performance

I hear Him say, 1.12.23 

 “Seek partnership today, not performance. Ask me what’s crucial and what can wait. This is your key to success today. Keep your peace. Let peace rule in your heart today. Don’t let tasks become your taskmaster, don’t worship your To-do list. Worship me and I will help you wade through the day and you will see your efforts multiply and produce more fruit than you can fathom as you let me lead. Don’t stress, don’t strive. Put it all in my hands. Faith is your part. Responding to that faith with my provision, protection, and salvation is my part. It’s all in a days work for me. I love being at home with you. You bring me so much joy and comfort. I desire to bring that joy and comfort to you as well. Draw close, so that I can wrap my loving arms around you and warm your soul. 

I’m removing cynicism. Cynicism doesn’t survive my love. My love comes in and blasts  cynicism to smithereens. I turn your negatives into positives. That’s my kingdom at work in and through you. It’s a ministry of healing and redemption. I turn all things for your good. I delight in you! Stay in my delight. Let nothing sway you or unsettle you from peace in my love. The fruit of righteousness is peace. (Isaiah 32:17, James 3:18) Righteousness is friendship with me. Stay close to me like a dear friend that you never want to part from or hang up on. Imagine we’re engaged and hopelessly in love. That’s you and me! You’re my bride! I’m your bridegroom. Let’s walk arm-in-arm for the rest of this lifetime and for all our days thereafter as well! 

Come home. Come rest here in my love when the world seems harsh against you. Even many times a day. Come return here to my love. The door is always open. Come in and put your feet up and relax. I’m your safe place. You’re hidden in me. I am your shelter, strong tower, your ever-present help in times of need. So simply come. Don’t waste a minute. Come home like the prodigal son did- The “foolish” son, who tried to make it on his own and things fell apart. You’re not meant to walk this road alone. You were created for intimacy with me. You’re roadmap for the days ahead is in my possession. I’m the navigator on this journey of life. In me, you can avoid all pitfalls and walk on a highway of holiness. 

If temptation is knocking at your door, don’t go and open it. Ask me to remove the intruder and temptation. Repent of engaging with the tempting thought. Capture it. Hold it in obedience to me. It has no right to interfere with your life. You are dead to sin. I want you to resist! I want you to be like the persistent widow- every time you hear the knock- refuse to answer and ask me to remove the intruder and temptation from your heart until there is no more desire in you to answer. I WILL deliver you! I am faithful to deliver you, again and again and forever! You have the trump card- you have me! My anointing breaks the heavy yoke of slavery.” (Isaiah 10:27)
