Don’t Despise the Days of Small Beginnings
I hear Him say, (1.2.23)
“Start fresh. Today is a new day, my new mercies are with you, (Lam. 3:22-23) my abundant grace is available to supply all you need. (Rom. 5:17) Receive from me. Fill up on me. Out of my fullness, receive grace upon grace. (John 1:16)
You may feel weak, lacking, overwhelmed just thinking of all that must get done. I will help you through even the most difficult situations and grant you peace in the process. (John 14:27) Come and rest here with your head against my chest. Listen to my heart. It’s all for you. I am so excited for your success! I know you can do it. I’m rooting for you. If God is for you, who or what can be against you?! (Rom. 8:31) I advocate for you. Put on my robe of righteousness. It’s yours. I’ve made you right. I’ve given you a new life. I’ve given you my life. I’ve given you my heart.
Come and rest here in my love. It’s always been about completely surrendering to my affection and returning it with wholehearted devotion. (Romans 12:1) I came for you. I left the ninety nine and I came for you. (Matthew 18:12) Just like the woman washed my feet with her tears in the pharisee’s house, that’s how my beloved bride responds to my love. My bride is unashamed of her love towards me. She is unashamed of how my love undoes her. (Luke 7:47) She cares more about my opinion of her than anyone else’s. She’s ok being misunderstood or accused. Her life is all for my glory now. All that matters to her is me. Her heart longs to obey me out of love. (John 14:15)
My bride can’t hide her light under a bushel any longer. (Matthew 5:14-16) My words are in her heart like fire shut up in her bones. (Jeremiah 20:9) she cannot hold it in! She must proclaim her love and tell others of her bridegroom! She must go tell it on a mountain, over the hills, and everywhere! She’s ardently in love with me. Her love flows forth from her mouth constantly like a mighty, rushing river. (John 4:14)
She’s dead to the past, sinful nature and alive to please me. (Rom. 6:11) That’s you! That how I see you, it has already begun to manifest in your life. Things have started to shift. They may seem little. Little rocks that begin to tumble down the mountain are followed by bigger ones and quickly turn into a landslide. Don’t despise the days of small beginnings, (Zech. 4:10) rejoice in the changes you see in yourself. See yourself completely in me. Remember- it’s not through trying harder, striving, that you grow into this. It’s through resting in my love (Isaiah 30:15) and abiding in my love. (John 15:9)
Ask me what’s next and I will show you as you surrender completely to me. The best way to position yourself is at my feet willing to learn the realest reality in my Word and unlearn things you’ve believed to be true. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
I long to take you deeper. Will you accept my hand in marriage again? (Song. 8:6-7)I want union with you. I want intimacy with you. Not some far-off day in heaven when you’re not so busy, but now! I want you to live with your head resting on my chest. (John 13:23) I want you to walk in-step with me, like Adam did in the garden of my delight in the cool of the day. (Genesis 3:8) I want you to thrive, not just survive. Come to me and LIVE! In me alone is life everlasting, (John 17:3) life to the fullest (John 10:10) and fullness of joy (Psalm 16:10)
Let’s be radical. Say “no” to the culture and draw of this world. (James 4:4) Go after the “little foxes” of distraction and temptation that try to spoil our time together. (Song. 2:15) Open the door for me, let me in. (Revelation 3:30) Truly allow me to see the depths of your heart. Don’t be afraid. It’s not too dark, messy, or sinful for me. I won’t come in and judge you. I will come in with my healing balm.”
