I’m supposed to warn you that your spiritual “fridges” are too full to fit the food he wants to give you. 

What I believe he means: The bride of Christ has over-stuffed herself and over-shopped on knowledge and worldly wisdom that aren’t what he’s speaking. Like the radio is tuned in to too many stations and we’re missing what he’s speaking. Matthew 4:4- his words are what we eat.

He wants the church to clear out room- make space- to receive more of Him. 

I see him sitting across the table from you personally. He looks deep into your eyes- into your heart. He’s dipping the bread in the oil and feeding you intimately with tenderness and compassion. 

He’s asking his bride to let go of all the noise that is blocking out his voice. Maybe it’s “good things” but just so many “good things” we have not prioritized the “one thing” that matters above all the rest. Matthew 6:23- seek 1st His kingdom. 

So- maybe for a time it’s laying aside podcasts, messages, audiobooks, tv, radio, friend’s phone calls, social media, extra ambitions, shopping, etc. 

I believe he’s inviting the church to step away with Him into the wilderness for a time so we can hear him more clearly and flow into his ease and increase we so deeply need. Hosea 2:14, Do you hear him wooing you? Speaking tenderly to you? Drawing you away with him?

This is your invitation/confirmation.

 I saw us writing things on pieces of paper and leaving them on the altar. 

A sacrifice, a surrender. Maybe laying down burdens, maybe idols, maybe people... whatever he’s put on your heart.

Again, this is an invitation from him.. you can accept or not. The ball is in your court. 

The invitation is to cast your cares upon him, to lay aside everything that doesn’t have his name on it, to appeal to a higher court. 

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time, casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].”

He showed me- If you accept this invitation your life is about to change. He’s about to open the heavenly storehouses above you and rain down blessings. The closer you draw to him, the deeper the surrender- the greater the ease and increase by His Spirit. 

I keep hearing Hebrews 11:6 

We must believe that He exists and is a REWARDER of those who diligently seek Him. 

And Matthew 6:23

Seek first Him and his kingdom and everything else will be added unto you.
