Let Us Pray

Prayer:
“Lord, I know you are inviting me to take out the garbage in my life that is hindering me from carrying your glory. Just like it says in Hebrews 12, I throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. I release it all right now by faith. My hands have been full of worthless things that are no longer useful for where you are taking me. I choose by faith now to let go of these things from the old season and from my old nature. I ask you to fill my hands with your new tools for the new season. I do not lean on my own understanding or opinions but seek your truth and cling to it, for your glory for your renown! My thoughts, the way that seemed right to me, led to death. Your thoughts are higher! Your ways are better! Your thoughts and ways bring life in abundance to me and those around me; even to nations through me! I choose to follow your leading, Holy Spirit, and not follow after the natural thoughts and ways previously known to me.
You are taking me to a new place. We are going a way we haven’t gone before. You know the way. You will lead me along paths of righteousness for your namesake. Lead me into your heart: deeper than I’ve ever been before, deeper than I even know is possible to go. I want to know the love of the bridegroom, Jesus. I forsake ALL to follow you, just like Elisha did. Just like the disciples did. I, by faith, close the doors to the past and lock them so I can ascend with you higher. Thank you for giving me clean hands and a pure heart. I receive them now by faith in the blood of Jesus to cleanse me from all sin. Bring alongside me the people that are supposed to go on this journey with me to your heart. I ask all these things in Jesus’ name.”
