It's All Gift

I hear him say: 10.5.22 

I’m saying to you- Come to me. Lay your head on my lap. Let me stroke your hair. Don’t sweat the small stuff. The most important thing is for you to seek my face. Seek first my kingdom and righteousness. Everything else will be added unto you. 

You feel like it’s this huge upward climb. You believe there are too many things you need to accomplish, you may never catch up. Well the truth is- Rome wasn’t built in a day. Take the pressure off and refuse to wear it again. It’s not from me. Seek me and I will show you how and when to do what. Nothing is as pressing as it seems. The most important thing is to gaze upon me. The most important place for you to dwell is in my courts. There is a greater value in sitting at my feet, like Mary. She chose the more important thing and it was not taken away from her. There are so many things pulling for your attention. It’s like an all-out-war when you choose to enter your prayer closet. There is heavy opposition trying to keep you away. (I picture a strong wind blowing against you) Once you cross the threshold though, there is peace. 

Rest is your weapon. Rest in me, in radical surrender to my way. In returning and rest you are saved. In quietness and trust is your strength. 

What if I really was the answer to your every problem? What if you didn’t have to solve everything.. but just let me Iove you? What if your job was just to show up and feel my love and extend it to everyone around you? What if my love is better than life? What if constantly receiving mercy and grace is greater than your striving? What if you are enough even in your imperfections? What if you could be filled with my joy and contentment even in the unfinished work? 

Come up higher and rest with me. Play with me, today and every day. I’m filled with joy and peace and love. Take time to receive from me so you have it to give those who are thirsty for my love around you. Don’t allow yourself to wear heavy burdens I haven’t given you to carry. Unburden yourself in my presence so you don’t end up unintentionally burdening those around you. 

This life is a gift. This day is a gift. I’m here to help you open it. Don’t stress. Don’t strive. Just stay close to me and enjoy the ride.
