How to Apply His Word

How do I partner with what God is saying? 

With these words from the Lord, I encourage you to wage war with them like it talks about in 1 Timothy 1:18 

1. Journal your responses to God

2. Ask him to confirm them and show you what is specifically for you. 

3. Wait on him to give you greater revelation to fully understand all he’s saying. 

4. Thank him for the things he’s doing. 

5. Partner with him in what he’s doing. 

For example, if he says, the key is surrender. Then say to him- “Jesus I surrender! Show me how to surrender today. Is there anything you want me to specifically surrender or give over to you?” “I lay down everything I think I know. I lay down striving! Come and have your way in me!”

 Or, If he says, “you must enter through humility.” I say “Lord I humble myself before you. I repent of pride. Show me any areas where pride has taken up residence.” (Listen. write what he reveals.) 

Then deal with it, “I cut off this pride from me. I ask you to fill me with your lowliness. Thank you for filling me with your selfless nature. I lay aside selfish ambition and vain conceit” 

In all of this you’re receiving the word, allowing it to take root, and as the scripture says “for the one who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance”

I bless you with hearts cultivated to receive these good gifts of his Rhema and logos word to you. 

Timothy, my son, here are my instructions for you, based on the prophetic words spoken about you earlier. May they help you fight well in the Lord’s battles.
