The Table Has Already Been Set

I hear him say:

First things first- Let me speak to your heart. I’m pleased with you, so pleased. No one and nothing can take your place in my heart. You were made for me. You were made for more than this world. That’s why there has been such a struggle. It hasn’t been easy- I know that. Don’t give in to disappointment. Come to life in my care. Come let me love you to wellness. Come let me love you to joy again. There is no one and nothing that can separate you from my love. Only you possess the power to separate yourself from me. 

Don’t run and hide in busyness, trying to drown out the pain and discomfort you’re feeling. Come, make yourself comfortable at this table I’ve set for you in the presence of your enemies. It’s the place where I exalt you and show the world you are mine. This place is where I pour out my grace upon grace. So come and eat at my table. Don’t focus on the enemy’s schemes.  Focus on my love for you that breaks the chains of sin and death. Focus on my favor that entitles you to overwhelming victory.

My ways are higher, my thoughts are higher. You rise higher when you’re thinking my thoughts and going my way. You're ascending with me high above your enemies as you agree with what I’m speaking to you. The enemy cannot even reach you any more with his arrows. Nothing from this earthly realm can hold you down any longer. 

The things that once weighed you down- the worries of this world, the hinderances of unbelief, and sin- now fall off as my faith inside of you grows. This faith inside you is like helium inside a balloon. It’s growing so much so that it’s lifting you to a higher reality. You’re now beginning to walk by faith in my Word instead of what you once believed to be true based on your circumstances. You’re no longer leaning on your own opinions but trusting and following like a child. 

At the table, you’re eating my body and drinking my blood and the victory of the cross is lifting you higher! You are above and not beneath. You’re the head and not the tail as you drink this victory I’ve given you. You are filled with joy and brought back to childlike delight. You begin to play, dance, and create again. You can rule and reign from this place. I have returned to you the dominion Satan stole from you. 

I have seated you with me in authority, in heavenly places. Come put your crown on. I give you the right to be called “children of God.” This is not just a sweet name of belonging. Being a child of God gives you rights and privileges. It has a title and inheritance attached to it. You are now becoming conformed into my image and walk in my likeness. You are my sibling. It’s the truth! Don’t resist this mantle I’ve paid such a high price to give you. It’s time you know your place and step into the fullness of your destiny.
