It's Only a Matter of Time

I love you, my dear one. Come on in and take a load off. Don’t allow the things of this world to infiltrate your heart to where they choke out the seeds I’ve planted. 

Fix your gaze upon me again. I want your full attention. I invite you to simply bring your cares to me. Talk with me about them and petition me to turn things around. Listen for my solutions to your situation. I always have a redemptive plan.

It’s ok to be weary and unsure of what’s to come. I know how you feel. I sympathize with you in your weakness. I’m here to take you by the hand and guide you, support you and strengthen you. I know it seems too dark to see. Let my eyes guide you. 

I have not deserted you. “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, or it will not stay near you. Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord. Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!”

I turn your mourning into dancing. I remove your sackcloth and clothe you with joy! Can you feel it coming? Like the signs of springtime rain, you can smell the water. You can sense the impending shower. You can see a cloud the size of a hand coming from a distance. Do not despise these small beginnings. Feel the first rain drops beginning to fall on you and the dry thirsty land. Watch me turn your desert into an oasis. 

For the LORD has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion. My recompense is coming to you like a freight train. It cannot be stopped. I’m commanding a victory for you. It’s only a matter of time. Stand and see the salvation of the Lord.
