Don’t Reject MY Purposes for Your Life by Refusing Humility

I hear Him say, (8.1.22)

Come humble yourself under my mighty hand so that I may lift you up at the proper time. You must go lower. It’s about carrying my lowliness. The lowliness of a child. Put aside what you think you know. Put aside your pride and come be baptized into repentance, into humility like those that were baptized by John were. Like Namaan humbled himself and dipped in the Jordan river seven times.

Don’t reject my purposes for your life by refusing to humble yourself and recognize your need for sincerity, repentance, and humility. Your fire may have dwindled. It’s time to recommit. I ask you, like I asked Peter when I recommissioned him, Do you love me? Truly love me? I’m inviting you to return to your first love. Come in humility. Come lay aside the old wine skin, and ask me for the new wineskin, the new way so you can receive the fresh outpouring I’m pouring out. The latter glory shall be greater than the former. Don’t allow yourself to be stagnant but come let me make you hungry for more of me. You’ve only touched the tip of the iceberg. 

Don’t inoculate yourself with a little bit of the gospel and miss out on all that I’ve come to bring you. Then you will have only a form of godliness but deny it’s power. Like the Pharisees, you criticize those who have taken me at my word like little children. I have called you to walk by faith not by sight as well. You judge those who don’t seem as holy or as wise as you, but I’m telling you to come lower. My Holy Spirit is an expert in my Word, not you. Let my Holy Spirt open your eyes to where your understanding is darkened. Ask me to give you a softened heart, a heart ready to receive from me, A heart of childlikeness. 

Don’t deny my Spirit the opportunity to possess you. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to me. But the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. Allow your soul and human intellect to take a back seat, don’t lean on your own understanding, but let my spirit take the reigns. Then, when my Spirit is in charge, you will have freedom and peace greater than your understanding.
