Come Take Your Seat

I Hear Him Say:

Your plans will fail if you do not lean into me. I must be your counselor all day, everyday in order for you to experience my peace and my breakthrough. You must continually come to me like a trusting child, asking for wisdom and strategy. There are many things you’re not seeing and things you are not seeing rightly. Ask me to show you the things you don’t see. Let me illumine your understanding so you can more-than-conquer today. If I am for you, who or what can be against you? 

Like the disciples crossing the lake to the country of the Gerasenes with Jesus, you need to see me to know my position on things. If I’m at rest during a storm, so you too, can position yourselves in rested faith. If I have told you we are going to the other side, we will indeed get to the other side! I will not let you be taken out but will see you to the end of this. 

If I have authority over the wind and the waves so do you, IN ME. Come up higher to your seat. Rest in the assurance of my constant protection, salvation and thoughts for your welfare. For I know the plans and thoughts I have for you, plans for peace and wellbeing, not disaster, to give you a hope and a future. 

You’re at a crossroads here. You can continue on in believing these storms are too hard and this narrow path is draining you, or you can ask me for a fresh perspective and see me helping you up this steep climb. Don’t look back. I am steadying your feet and making you walk upon the mountain heights. You will gain confidence with every step. Like David you will say, “In the Lord, I can charge against an army, with my God I can scale a wall!” My way for you is perfect. My promises prove true. You will know me as a God who shields you. I arm you with strength and make your way secure. 

Picture yourself standing on top of that wall, in victory, with me. Picture yourself sitting at my banqueting table in the presence of your enemies, at peace. Picture yourself sleeping on the boat with me in the midst of the storm. My left hand cradles your heads while my right arm holds you close. You are at rest in my love. Picture yourself seated with me in heavenly places. For that is where you are. Come take your seat.
