I Wish to Gather You Close..

 My mercies are new for you this morning and every morning. I long to gather you in like a mother hen gathers her chicks. It’s ok to be confused. It’s ok to not have all the answers but don’t go searching for them in the world apart from me. Disconnection from me is disconnection from your life source. 

If you come close I can provide the support you need to endure any trial that you’re facing, and not just endure but overcome! 

I am close to the brokenhearted and save those whose spirits are crushed. Know when the world seems harsh against you, I am your refuge, your safe place. I am your ever-present help in trouble. In order for me to protect you, you must come and dwell in my secret place under my shadow, in my stronghold. If you’re in my stronghold, you're not in the strongholds of this world. You’ve put all your eggs in one basket, trusting in only me to protect and guide you. This is the answer! When you forsake all other avenues and seek me first. When you lean not on your own understanding, your own opinions, but come like a child and allow me to make your paths straight. I know the way. Allow me to take you by the hand and show you. 

Put your hope In me. Some may trust in the strength of natural things like what their eyes can see. I have called you to trust only in my supernatural power, not in your own strength or abilities but by my Spirit. 

Surrender is the key. If you come to me poor in spirit, a beggar, in knowing your desperate need for me, my kingdom is at your disposal. So come home now, like the unwise son, recognize your desperate need for me and allow me to father you again. I long to take you into this safe place I’ve created for you. I desire to show you mercy and compassion. I sympathize with you in your weakness. Don’t detest your weakness. Boast in it, for at the place of your weakness is where my power comes to strengthen, comfort, and support you. Your weakness is like a lighthouse beacon calling me to rescue you. Don’t hide it, put it on display so my glory and power to save may be on display in your life. Let yourself be a walking, talking billboard of my mercy and goodness.

Your weakness isn’t a defect. It’s your humanity, it’s your vulnerability, it’s like a precious flower that can be crushed. I’ve made you to need me. Don’t despise your weakness, learn to run to me constantly and let me show you my ability to rescue and heal you again and again and again.
