I Want to Talk to You About Faithfulness..

I want to talk to you about faithfulness. It’s all I’m after. If you allow me to be faithful to you every day you will in turn be faithful to me. You will receive my faithfulness and become like me more and more going from glory to glory. It’s a fruit of my Spirit you produce IN ME.

Faithfulness is journeying with me day after day, year after year, holding my hand, steadfast. It’s a slow build-up of intimacy. It’s where the oil in your lamp gets filled. 

It’s not about rushing out and doing all these amazing exploits. Firstly, it’s sitting at my feet like Mary. If you do all those things without my love you will only be a clanging cymbal. Broken and dry, not bearing lasting fruit. Everything may look fine, even beautiful on the outside, but it will not be the eternal fruit you can produce connected to me. 

I desire you to be well-oiled. Oil is my anointing that runs down you as you bask in my presence. There is nothing more needed than being with me. I don’t need you to serve me. You don’t need to burst blood vessels in prayer, being more zealous than everyone else.

I chose you to love. So come and receive. You are the object of my affection. Come and let me love you to wellness. Come and lay down striving.  Let the opinions of man fall off of you. Let me show you my plans for you. You can choose to walk about in the dark every day or you can come and let me light your path. It’s not some formula, it’s an invitation to know me. 

I don’t need your skills, I’m after your heart. You’re not paying penance for the days or years you rebelled or didn’t meet the standards you think you should have met. I already paid for your redemption on the cross. There is no debt left to pay I nailed it to the cross. I made a public spectacle of your accusers, disarming them. Come to me and look at me and your face will be radiant, no longer covered in shame. 

Come to me and receive my robe upon your back, my sandals upon your feet, my signet ring, and your crown. IN ME you are royalty. Come fellowship with me and stay seated with me in heavenly places. This place I’ve prepared for you to dwell. I know it goes against your natural thinking. Dwelling in two places at once; the earthly realm and the heavenly realm with me. By faith, receive this truth and come sit in your seat of authority I’ve given you. In this seat all strivings cease, all worries of this world grow dim, all lies of the enemy can’t reach. In this seat all selfish ambition and vain conceit is gone. It’s just about me and my lovingkindness for you. 

What if life wasn’t so hard? What if you could actually relax and go through each day holding my hand and receiving my love? What if I actually can carry your burdens? Giving your life to me was never meant to be a burden. It’s actually the way to everlasting peace. The kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. This righteousness is not something you have to earn, it’s something I’ve already given you. It’s friendship with me, walking with me in the light. 

So come into the light and lay down your luggage. It’s time for me to minister to you like I washed the disciples feet. I want to serve you now. You must receive my ministry in order to minister effectively to the world around you.
